Introduction to Ceramic Jewelry

CourseGraphic The student will learn how to make pendants, earrings, and bracelets using clay. The one-of-a-kind clay components you make will be mixed with various beads and findings provided by Clay College. You will also learn how to make findings and even how to package and market your work!

SUPPLIES LIST
(Not required, but recommended)
Unless specified, all supplies can be found at Hobby Lobby, Michaels, Fire Mountain Gems, and Amazon.
Wire – (In any metal/finish) 20g, 18g, 24g or 26g, be sure it is non tarnishing, we recommend Artistic Wire or Beadalon brands.
Leather Cord – 1.5mm–2mm, in any color.
Wax Cording – 3-4 ply, Any color. We recommend Irish wax cording.
Beads – Metal spacer beads, Czech Glass/stone beads (4/6/8 mm), Large hole beads
Findings – bead caps, preferred clasps (make sure to match findings to jewelry wire.)
Bail maker
Needle Nose Pliers
Underglaze Decals + Ceramics Decals – Can be found on Etsy, Amazon, ceramicshop.com.
Nichrome Wire Rod 6” – I(f you plan to make a bead tree. Can be found on ceramicshop.com.
Storage Container/Tool Box – To keep supplies organized and safe!
