RCSJ Career and Technical Education offers a comprehensive GWO Basic Technical Training course for wind turbine technicians. The BTT curriculum will enable both onshore and offshore wind technicians to perform basic mechanical, bolt tightening, electrical, hydraulic, and installation tasks with the supervision of an experienced technician.
This module aims to give participants the knowledge and skills to carry out basic mechanical tasks (supervised by an experienced technician) using safe working procedures and the correct personal protective equipment.
This module aims to improve the safety and quality of bolt tightening in the wind industry using energy-powered tools and accessories. This module covers both how to tighten bolts safely and correctly and how to plan, document, and review bolt-tightening tasks. The module prepares participants for company-specific bolt-tightening training through scenario-based training.
